On 1st November, Professor Lyu Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development) cum Dean of Graduate School, and Ms. Jenny Li, Director of University Engagement Office, led a delegation to visit the Department of History and Department of Chinese Language of Peking University (PKU). The delegates also met Professor Wang Qisheng, Head of the Department of History and Doctoral Supervisor, and Professor Du Xiaoqin from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature to strengthen the exchanges and academic collaboration between the two universities.
While the visit deepened and broadened the links between the arts and history programmes of both parties, HKBU will continue to leverage its strength to foster stronger bonds with higher education institutions in the Mainland in the areas of education, collaborative research and talent development, actively promoting the development of education and scientific and technological innovation. Extending its warm welcome to the HKBU delegation, PKU took pride in the many remarkable research achievements shared by both institutions over the years. “Through this visit, we hope to deepen and initiate more important collaborations with PKU in terms of joint postgraduate training, interdisciplinary research, the Faculty of Arts, mutual visits of scholars and joint research projects,” noted Professor Lyu.
