Wuhan University of Technology Delegation Visits Hong Kong Baptist University

On 28 April 2026, a delegation from Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) visited Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) for in-depth exchanges on student exchange, joint training, and academic research.

The delegation was led by Prof. Mai Liqiang, Vice-President of WUT. HKBU participants included: Prof. LYU Aiping, Vice-President (Research and Development) cum Dean of Graduate School; and Prof. YANG Chun, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

The symposium was held at SWT 501, Shaw Tower, HKBU. In his welcome address, Prof. LYU Aiping stated that HKBU has consistently upheld the Whole Person Education philosophy. This year marks HKBU's 70th anniversary, and the University has achieved breakthroughs in Chinese medicine, communication studies, and artificial intelligence. He expressed the hope to deepen cooperation with WUT in interdisciplinary research and faculty-student exchanges. The symposium featured screening of introduction videos of both HKBU and Wuhan University of Technology.

Prof. Mai Liqiang thanked HKBU for its warm reception and expressed his hope to deepen collaboration in talent cultivation and research innovation, exploring a path of complementary strengths. During the free exchange session, both sides reached multiple consensuses on undergraduate exchange and joint training.

The visit ended in a friendly atmosphere, laying a solid foundation for future in-depth cooperation.
