From August to December 2025, Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) had a privilege of hosting several delegations from the Chinese Mainland government and renowned academic institutions. These visits facilitated meaningful dialogues that enriched academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and professional sharing, reaffirming HKBU’s prominent role as an international academic hub.

The delegations included representatives from South China University of Technology on 11 August, Tongji University on 19 August, The United Front Work Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee on 15 October, Organisation Department of Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee on 21 October, Hong Kong Institute for Public Administration on 4 November, The Guizhou Provincial Association of Vocational Education on 7 November, Soochow University on 12 November, East China Normal University on 13 November, Nanjing Institute of Technology on 20 November, Sun Yat-sen University on 28 November, Weifang University on 12 December and the National Medical Products Administration Institute of Executive Development on 16 December.

During their visits, the delegations engaged in in-depth discussions with our University Officers and faculties, focusing on key topics such as digital innovation, educational models, industrial collaboration, and cultural heritage.  These exchanges fostered a two-way flow of knowledge and expertise, strengthening ties between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong in education, research, and industry.  Beyond academic discussions, the delegations also gained a deeper appreciation for Hong Kong’s rich cultural diversity and HKBU’s educational philosophies, from the intellectual stimulation of academic seminars to the meaningful connections formed through cultural exchanges.

Each visits opened new pathways for collaboration and laid a solid foundation for future progress. As we reflect on these inspiring moments, we look forward to building on these relationships and seizing further opportunities for collective advancement!
