A delegation from the Hong Kong Institute for Public Administration ‘Commissioned by Shenzhen University’ visited Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) on 4 November 2025. Led by Professor Li Cuihua, Party Secretary of the College of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering at Shenzhen University, the visit aimed to gain insights into HKBU's practices in human resources management, innovation and research translation, and campus development.

The visit commenced with an opening session hosted by Ms Jenny Li, Director of University Engagement at HKBU. Professor Martin DF Wong, Provost of HKBU, delivered a welcome address, extend a warm reception to the delegates from Shenzhen University. During the sharing sessions, Professor Martin DF Wong, Provost of HKBU, and Mr Adam Lau, Director of Human Resources, provided an in-depth overview of the University’s human resources management strategies, professional development initiatives and approaches to attracting and nurturing high-calibre talents. This was followed by a presentation from the Institute for Innovation, Translation and Policy Research, led by Professor Terence Lau, Interim Chief Innovation Officer. The presentation highlighted HKBU's achievements in innovative research, technology translation, and its role as a think tank contributing to local development.

The delegation also toured the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity and the Lee Shau Kee Communication and Visual Arts Building to learn about the University's latest initiatives in fostering transdisciplinary collaboration and creative education.

The visit enhanced mutual understanding between the two institutions in the areas of higher education management and innovation development, establishing a strong foundation for future collaboration and exchanges.
