From 28 July to 3 August 2025, the “Transdisciplinary Summer Camp: AI Integration and Innovation” was co-organised by the University Engagement Office of Hong Kong Baptist University and Guizhou University. Faculty and students from Guizhou University joined HKBU for a seven-day academic and cultural exchange on the HKBU campus.
The camp delivered a dynamic schedule of lectures and workshops led by renowned professors from HKBU’s School of Communication and Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems. Core topics spanned AI in education, practical chatbot workshops, the intersection of new media and society, and social innovation. Beyond the classroom, participants also explored the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Hong Kong News-Expo. These cultural visits highlighted Hong Kong’s position as a vibrant global media and cultural hub.
The joint initiative strengthened academic ties between the two Universities while giving students a rich, cross-cultural learning experience. Participants from Guizhou University commended both the curriculum and the campus experience, noting that the programme offered a meaningful perspective on Hong Kong’s higher education system and its significance within the context of national progress.
