Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has risen from 252nd last year to 244th in the newly released QS World University Rankings 2026. HKBU is delighted to be recognised as one of the top 250 universities in the world in this ranking, and views this as an important reference for its ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, learning and research standards.
HKBU has advanced from 295th in this ranking two years ago to 244th this year. It demonstrated that HKBU has been consistently strengthening its transdisciplinary teaching, learning and research capabilities in recent years, and its achievements in integrating creative culture, technological applications and diverse learning experiences have gained international recognition. HKBU will continuously improve its curriculum and learning environment to cultivate a student community which is committed to serving the society with creativity, global perspectives and multi-faceted talents.
With a strong focus on the key areas of creative media and practice, health and drug discovery, humanities and cultures, as well as data analytics and artificial intelligence, HKBU is at the forefront of driving transdisciplinary and innovative research, while staying dedicated to translating research outputs into tangible benefits for society and contributing to societal development.
