“Journey to Excellence: HKBU in Paris” Event Recap: Professor Yannis Pitsiladis’s interview

“I'm an expert on nature, nurture in elite sport. I'm an expert on anti-doping. But for me, it's the same project, same technologies, same innovations, and the outcome is equally important. We actually make sport have meaning,” Yannis Pitsiladis, Professor of Department of Sport, Physical Education and Health (SPEH) at HKBU, described his research work in sport science.

This summer, HKBU seized the opportunity presented by the global spectacle of the Paris Olympics to host the “Journey to Excellence: HKBU in Paris” symposium. Two panel discussions were conducted on pivotal topics: “Enhancing Life Outside Sport for Olympians and Elite Athletes” and “Science, Technology, AI, and Sport”. The event showcased HKBU’s cutting-edge initiatives and achievements in sports science and innovation, contributing to the advancement of global sports.
